Counsellor Directory
This innovative membership service serves to promote business information about your counselling practice, specialized services and skills as well as the ability to upload a profile picture and business logo. With futurist trends heading towards a generation that seeks information online as well as a specific set of skills, knowledge and experience, the CPCA believes this directory will provide a competitive edge for marketing our member's counselling services across Canada to the public, insurance providers, EAP contractors and government for verification of your legitimacy. All members who are in "good standing" will be approved to list their contact information in the directory on an annual basis. It allows our members to login to their directory listing once it has been approved and make any changes to their contact information.

Description
I’m a Therapist, Artist, Wife + Homeschool Mom to two beautiful daughters!
My roots go back to one of the best spots in BC, the Okanagan Valley (we still visit it every year!) I left home to study at Bible College in Saskatchewan and eventually married my best friend, Nori, and settled in Alberta. It’s been 4 years since we moved back to BC with our girls and we couldn’t be more thrilled to call Port Alberni, HOME! In August 2023, I graduated from VCCT (Vancouver College of Counsellor Training) with a Diploma in Professional Counselling and my Youth & Family Support Worker Certificate.
My lifelong love for art was one of a few things that sparked my new career as a therapist! Over years of painting, drawing and exploring the world of creativity I experienced the calm and release of tension that can naturally occur through creative expression and childlike playfulness. It can happen when dancing with my kids to reduce stress on a hard day, squashing play doh into pancakes, writing to help process my changing emotions through the day or escaping into the colours and textures that my paint creates. Working with children and raising my own gave me a passion for toddlers, kids and teens but I can’t wait to share these benefits with adults too because I know there’s no age limit on the gift that art and play can bring to our lives. I bring the opportunity and supplies for art, music, writing, sensory materials, pretend play and more... To invite you to express and grow through your difficult emotions and circumstances.
